What Is an ADHD Coach?

An ADHD coach is a “life coach”, specialising in helping people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) better manage their lives.
Maybe you want to change jobs or stop chronic disorganization and lateness. Perhaps your child needs help with completing the piles of homework he or she gets from school and their ADHD is holding them back. Or maybe you’re looking to better yourself all round in areas like physical fitness, emotional growth, social skills, financial planning and the workplace — and need guided motivation.
The solution, in each case, may be to team up with an ADHD coach, or Life Coach.
What Can I do as a Coach for People With ADHD?

First of all, I am ADHD myself and I understand how difficult it is to do all these things, but with small changes you can achieve everything you want out of life.

Well-being

Experience a new feeling of well-being – physically and mentally. Learn how to create balance and put boundaries in place which protect against emotional burnout and support well-being.

Clarity

Help to focus, to take action, to feel energized. A lack of clarity causes stress, inaction, a scattered focus, relationship difficulties and confusion.

Alignment

Bring together life-choices and direction to honour your core values. Alignment is when we listen to our intuition and move through the world embodying our true selves. Alignment is function and action with ease.

Prosperity

You have a life worth living. Bringing your internal and external worlds together to be congruent. Work on having deep and loving relationships.

Belief

Develop your inner confidence and build the courage to make life changes. Release any blocks or old thought patterns which have kept you stuck or thinking small. Positive believing separates itself from positive thinking because it is a choice. Your choice is an action which leads to more action.

Focus

Think through what your goals are, becoming very clear and deliberate in titling what is a goal to you. Think about the big picture when you organize your thoughts.

Purpose

Your life purpose consists of the central motivating aims of your life—the reasons you get up in the morning. Purpose can guide life decisions, influence behaviour, shape goals, offer a sense of direction, and create meaning.

Accountability

When you’re personally accountable, you take ownership of what happens as a result of your choices and actions. You don’t blame others or make excuses and you do what you can to make amends when things go wrong. To become more accountable is to understand your roles and responsibilities.
